The Old Rectory is a true gem – Helga is a wonderful host, and we had an amazing time hiking in the area, discovering historical sites, and visiting a number of smaller cities in the area.

Set in a Grade II listed 17th-century barn, Tonge Barn is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and offers individually designed rooms with wooden beams or red brick walls. Tonge Barn was an absolute dream of a stay! The rooms were roomy, clean and very tastefully decorated. the owner was welcoming and so friendly and helpful. would definitely recommend Tonge Barn to anyone!

Absolutely beautiful building/accommodation, set in a lovely estate that has everything you coulld possibly need. The whole experience felt cosy, clean and relaxing. The beds were super comfy, the living space was pleasant, but the biggest highlight was the hot tub! Exactly what myself and my family (and doggies!) needed out of a mini-break away for my Dad's 60th Birthday. The hosts themselves were lovely and attentive. The young gentlemen in particular who showed us to the accommodation was most helpful and welcoming. And thank you so much to the gentlemen (I think, Ian?) who came round on our last evening to let us know that no one was checking in next day and we could take our time in the morning :) definitely didn't want to leave!

Our room was lovely, very well equipped and exceeded our expectations. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming and made us feel really comfortable. The food was delicious, we couldn’t have asked for more. A fantastic weekend away.
